The Journey
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Upon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your professional driver-guide and transferred to Amboseli National Park in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser approximately 4–5 hours. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley. Check-in at your luxury lodge/camp and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a short game drive around the lodge to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, and the park’s iconic herds with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading out on a full-day game drive in Amboseli. Explore the park’s vast plains, swamps, and open savannahs, capturing stunning wildlife sightings, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and various bird species. A picnic lunch will be arranged in the park amidst the breathtaking scenery. Continue with afternoon game drives and sundowner photography opportunities before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island Tour
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive towards Lake Naivasha approximately 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a guided boat ride on Lake Naivasha, spotting hippos, fish eagles, and other birdlife. Continue to Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife in a predator-free environment. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Following breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park approximately 2–3 hours. After checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos (seasonal), rhinos, and diverse wildlife. Explore the park’s forests, grasslands, and the lake’s shoreline in search of leopards, buffaloes, and Rothschild giraffes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, depart Nakuru and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve approximately 5–6 hours, arriving in time for lunch at your luxury camp/lodge. In the afternoon, set out on a game drive in the Mara, known for its rich wildlife population, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, wildebeests, and hippos. Optional visit to a Maasai village can be arranged to experience traditional culture and customs. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Begin the day with an early breakfast before setting off on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the reserve. Explore the Mara’s diverse ecosystems, from riverine forests to open savannah, and maximize wildlife sightings.
Photograph lions lounging under acacia trees, cheetahs hunting across the plains, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
